Blue Yonder Demand/Supply Planning Functional Architect

What we're looking for

Spinnaker SCA, a Publicis Sapient company, is seeking a Blue Yonder Demand/Supply Planning Functional Architect/Consultant to lead the design, configuration, and delivery of advanced connected planning & fulfillment solutions across a range of client industries.

This role is for professionals with hands-on functional experience in Blue Yonder (or similar APS platforms) and a track record of designing future-state planning architectures that improve forecasting, collaboration, and supply planning performance. You’ll lead discovery, drive system design, configure planning logic, and deliver implementation outcomes—all while guiding clients through change.

Required qualifications

Here’s what you need to bring to the table:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is required. Equivalent experience includes a proven track record of skills, professional accomplishments, or training related to the role.
  • 1-3 years of business process development and/or APS application support that includes but not limited to demand planning, forecasting, collaborative planning, or S&OP / SO&E; with the ability to assess forecast performance
  • 1-3 years of specific knowledge related to the user configuration of Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, O9, e2Open, SAP SCM, etc
  • 1-3 years demand planning functional or consulting experience
  • PMP, APICS, Six Sigma, ACPF or similar industry Certifications are a plus
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills
  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple activities and deadlines within a semi-autonomous environment
  • Willingness to manage extensive travel as dictated by individual engagement requirements

Experience that's a plus

You’ll stand out if you also bring experience with:

  • Industry certifications such as PMP, APICS, Six Sigma, or ACPF
  • Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM and Waterfall (SDLC) implementation methodologies
  • Exposure to system testing lifecycle phases and performance validation
  • Experience with planning system integration points, including ERP and analytics tools

What you'll actually do

  • Deliver consulting and outsourcing services for client engagements by providing business analysis, creating detailed solution documentation, and doing research to support the creation of high-quality business solutions on behalf high profile commercial companies
  • Lead the creation of functional and technical design documents, detailed interfacing and data mapping specifications, design test cases that validate the proper execution against business requirements, and execute test scripts for systems implementation engagements
  • Lead the development and dissemination of high-quality project deliverables in a manner that encourages client participation and ensures timely delivery against the defined project timeline
  • Support knowledge share amongst the Spinnaker SCA consulting community by providing direct support to internal colleagues with pertinent questions, and through the development of collateral that can be shared within the group
  • Utilize personal know-how and critical experience to help clients to determine the optimal path for key supply chain process related decisions
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of business processes (demand planning, forecasting, Supply Planning), planning technology solutions (such as Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, etc.), and industries and support client service delivery in these areas across the firm
  • Guide clients in leading practices and be knowledgeable and self-directed in educating themselves on leading practices
  • Performing current state assessment of existing supply chain planning system and business processes
  • Performing fit/gap analysis to determine opportunities for business improvement
  • Developing a blueprint and roadmap for the future state supply chain design(s)
  • Defining scope of responsibility using RACIs and organizational design tools
  • Supporting the facilitation of organizational change management programs and processes
  • Leveraging technology approaches such as WATERFALL (system development life cycle / SDLC) and AGILE / SCRUM to deploy robust multi-faceted planning solutions
  • Translating functional and technical business requirements into comprehensive business designs and documenting the output in well-developed business specifications
  • Testing related activities including test planning, test case and scenario definition, and execution for test phases that include unit, system, integrated systems, user acceptance, performance, and regression.
  • Supporting end user training development and delivery
  • Supporting system production deployment and production support activities

Pay Range: $70,000-230,000 USD + Bonus

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Spinnaker SCA. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
